This doll was carried by 11-year-old Elizabeth Richardson as she and her family fled from their home at 136 Schiller Street during the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Fifty-nine years later she donated her cherished doll to the Chicago History Museum. In 2007, the doll was "adopted" by The GUILD thereby launching the Museum's Adopt-a-Collection-Treasure program.
